Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Handyman & Renovations Pretoria (www.handymanservicespta.co.za) collects and uses personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who is responsible for your information

This website is owned and managed by Nolimit Marketing Solutions (Pty) Ltd ("Nolimit", "we", "us"). Nolimit is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Nolimit is a marketing company. It does not perform handyman, maintenance or renovation work.

Enquiries are referred to independent contractors who contact you, quote, perform the work, invoice and collect payment. When a contractor receives your enquiry, that contractor becomes responsible for how it uses your information to deal with you.

2. What we collect

Enquiry details you give us: your name, contact number, email address (if you provide it), suburb, the service you need and your description of the work.
Consent record: the consent wording you accepted and the date and time you sent the form.
Technical information: our hosting and security providers process IP addresses and browser information to deliver the site and block abuse.

Please don't include sensitive information (for example health information or identity numbers) in the description field. It isn't needed to quote for building work.

3. Why we use it (purpose and legal basis)

To pass your enquiry to an independent contractor so they can contact you about the work you asked about. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box, and on the steps needed to respond to your request.
To keep a record of enquiries and consent, check the form is working and prevent spam or abuse (our legitimate interest).

We don't sell your information, use it for unrelated marketing, or add you to mailing lists.

Independent contractors who cover your area and the type of work, so they can contact you and quote.
Operators who process information for us: Web3Forms (form delivery by email), Google (email inbox) and Cloudflare (hosting and security). They act on our instructions and are required to protect the information.
Anyone we are legally required to disclose information to.

5. Information sent outside South Africa

Some of the operators above store or process information on servers outside South Africa. We use providers that are subject to data-protection laws or contractual safeguards that offer protection substantially similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires. By sending the form you consent to this transfer.

6. How we protect it

The site runs only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Enquiries are delivered to a single, access-controlled inbox. We limit access to people who need it to refer your enquiry, and ask contractors to use your details only to deal with your job.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to 12 months after the enquiry, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to deal with a dispute, and then delete them. Contractors keep their own records of work they quote or carry out.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct or delete it, or object to its use. You may withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew it. Contact the Information Officer using the details above. If you ask a contractor to stop contacting you, please also let us know so we don't refer future enquiries to them for you.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

9. Cookies and analytics

The site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
